Must-Shop Clothing Stores In Paris, France
Many beautiful things can be said about Paris – and they’ve indeed been said! – one rather unfortunate aspect is that it’s a pricey place to shop. But the hidden truth is, Paris is a treasure chest of inexpensive yet stylish clothing, with thrift stores found in various small streets and hidden corners. Here is a list of the best Paris thrift stores. These 6 shops are where you will find the most fashionable items, that are available at the lowest prices.
Paris Thrift Stores – 6 Boutiques With Affordable (But Stylish) Clothes
Paris Thrift Store #1 – FREE ‘P’ STAR:
With three stores in the Hotel de Ville and Marais area, this is the best Paris thrift store to go if you’re on a tight budget. The big attraction at Free ‘P’ Star is their bargain bin, where everything found in the bin can be purchased for merely 1 euro. This bin is located in a tight, stuffy room that’s often overcrowded (be prepared to dig deep), but you can find anything here, from blazers to jeans to sweaters to skirts, for just one euro. Now that’s what I call a score! Free “P” Star is definitely one of the best clothing stores in Paris and that is why it is #1 on my list. Dress comfortably and head to the blue room upstairs for some cheap and chic finds!
61 Rue de la Verrerie, 75004 Paris (Hotel de Ville store)
Paris Thrift Store #2 – THE KILO SHOP
Found also in Hotel de Ville and Saint Germain, this thrift store sells its merchandise by weight- 20 euros a kilo for clothing with green tags, and 30 euros a kilo for clothing with red labels.
You can find women’s clothing, men’s clothing, shoes, hats, bags, accessories, fur coats, and even wigs in their ample and organized space! Scales are located throughout the store so you can weigh your load before paying. This store is perfect for those who’re looking for a less chaotic thrifting experience.
69-71 Rue de la Verrerie, 75004 Paris (Le Marais store)
Paris Thrift Store #3 – LITTLE BOX
As the name suggests, this store in the Marais is a tiny jewelry box of vintage designer finds.
Although the prices aren’t as low as they are at the Kilo Shop or Free ‘P’ Star, their stock is well-curated, and you’ll find many beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces in excellent condition.
Pay this boutique (and its helpful owners!) a visit if you’re looking for an intimate shopping experience and an opportunity to score some secondhand couture.
77 Boulevard Beaumarchais, 75003 Paris
Paris Thrift Store #4 – The Stock Shops:
Another superb yet criminally unknown option for shopping in Paris when on a budget is the stock shops. Now, what even is a stock shop? You can think of a stock shop as a clearance shop that sells last season’s clothes at massive discounts. There is nothing wrong with these branded clothes; they are just one season too late. Considering the fantastic quality and up to 60% discounts makes stock shops a default option for anyone looking to buy unique French brands.
There are many of these around the city, but the ones at APC Surplus: 20 Rue André del Sarte, 75018 Paris, and Sandro Stock: 26 Rue de Sévigné, 75004 Paris are two of the most notable ones.
Paris Thrift Store #5 – Espace Kiliwatch:
One of the most famous vintage Paris Thrift stores.
Prices are higher compared to other thrift shops but clothes a very well selected and presented, and in good condition.
It sells also brand new items and has its own brand.
64 rue Tiquetonne, Paris 75002
Paris Thrift Store #6 – Vintage Desir:
A chaotic but cute second-hand clothes shop a must of the Marais’s popular vintage shopping area.
Do not let the sign outside may mislead you as it reads reads ‘coiffeur’, ‘hairdresser’.
This tiny boutique in the Marais is actually one of the area’s most known vintage clothing store.
You’ll find dresses, skirts, , denim jackets, coats, leather jackets, and more.
32 rue des Rosiers, Paris 75004
