One of the hardest things for travelers to do while on vacation is to pick out a stellar souvenir for their loved ones.
There are only so many miniature Eiffel towers and berets that people can tolerate.
Too much time and effort are needed to find that perfect souvenir, and frankly, it can be tiring. So, to help out, I made a list of places where you can find that perfect Parisian souvenir you’ve been dying to get ♥
Beauty:
Souvenirs from Paris for that fabulously gorgeous friend
Nothing says “Paris” more than an intricately crafted bottle of perfume.
Annick Goutal (14 Rue de Castiglione, 75001 Paris) is the place to go for expertly concocted scents; ‘Ce Soir ou Jamais’ and ‘L’Eau d’Hadrien,’ two of their classic scents, are the perfect little bottles to take back home with you.
For a more gourmand scent in pretty pastel boxes, try the Laduree gift shop at Madeleine (16 Rue Royale, 75008 Paris.)
Guerlain (68 Avenue des Champs Elysees, 75008 Paris) is home to iconic Parisian scents like ‘Champs-Elysees’ as well as a sought-after makeup collection that’s ideal for creating chic looks.
Food:
Sweet treats from Paris for any foodie friend
Laduree and Pierre Herme are the classic-and typical-places to buy some macaroons. But Maison Georges Larnichol (132 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75006 Paris) is a lesser-known yet equally delicious place to get delicious macaroons, caramels, or chocolate maps of Paris; you can go after a visit to the nearby Notre-Dame or Shakespeare and Co.
If your loved one isn’t much of a sweet tooth, try Maille (6 Place de la Madeleine, 75008 Paris) near the Kenzo boutique in Madeleine- it specializes in mustards of all types, ranging from the classic Dijon to the exotic Violet.
Fashion:
Perfect Fashion Items from Paris for your chic companion
Although Paris is home to all kinds of fashion, it’s particularly renowned for sexy lingerie.
Chantal Thomas (211 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris) and Fifi Chachnil (231 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris) are ideal places to pick up some lacy (and racy) wares.
For chic tees and sweaters, check out Maison Kitsuné’s Parisian cool clothing, available at the nearby uber-stylish boutique Colette (213 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris).
For the quintessential Parisian accessory, check out Longchamp
(404 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris) for their Le Pilage tote, the must-have for any Parisienne.
If you’re ever lost on where all the stylish boutiques in Paris are, just head on over to the 1e arrondissement and walk along rue Saint-Honoré!
